Our journey started in 2013, when the founder Raphael Wangai together with his Wife Tabitha Wangai established The Rapha Foods Ltd after years of working in the baking and hospitality industry training chefs, selling ingredients and developing a variety of recipes.

He noticed a gap in the interpretation of recipes and reduced consumption of traditional African food as people tended more towards processed food. 

He decided to do something to resolve this problem through Rapha Foods, by offering customised baking and cake decorations, lessons in understanding and developing recipes and product development in line with health needs of different sections of the society.

We established The Rapha Training Institute of Hospitality and Service Ltd to train Baristas, Bakers and chefs as well as stewards and service personnel for the ever-growing market both locally and internationally.
The training institute is certified by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) and our students take the industry standard examinations and evaluations. We guarantee fully baked professionals who shall be released into the service industry with quality and distinction.
